In February 2012 three Healing Wave Chiropractors and one Macquarie University student will fly to California to attend an world famous Chiropractic event. The three day event brings together the best minds in the profession to deliver contemporary information on the Art, Science and Philosophy of Chiropractic. We are excited to be part of the event and are thankful for the opportunity to mix with the leaders in the world of Chiropractic.

As part of our ongoing commitment to further education Healing Wave has five Chiropractors on staff studying post graduate specialist streams on learning. This includes Calm Birth Certification, ICA Chiropractic Wellness Certification and one practitioner enrolled in Chiropractic Philosophers course through The New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Well done to those practitioners who are challenging themselves to become more skilled in the Art, Science and Philosophy of Chiropractic. Life is about learning along a journey! Beware of a person that knows it all.

In September 2011 Healing Wave Chiropractors and partners celebrated the birthday of Chiropractic with a black tie evening at one of Newcastle's finest dining establishments. The night included historic presentations and films from yesteryear. The event was such a success that it has been added to our Calendar for next year. As BJ famously said "Get the BIG IDEA - All else follows.

Healing Wave is participating in the first ACTIVATE EXPO held in Newcastle. We will be providing functional neurological testing, postural assessment via our posturePRO technology, Footscans and Lifestyle questionnaires as part of the Innate Lifestyle Program. Collectively we will score people individually to give an impression of their current health and wellness status. Two Healing Wave Chiropractors namely Dr David Diehm and Dr Bryce Fleming will be giving lectures on Saturday and Sunday as part of the EXPO's professional sessions. We look forward to seeing you there, come and say hello!!!

The Healing Wave Chiropractic team enjoyed a fantastic array of world renowned international speakers at this year’s Parker Chiropractic seminar in Sydney. Speakers included Dr Fabrizio Mancini DC, the Head of Parker Seminars and Parker Chiropractic College (photo 1); Chiropractic Educator and Disney expert Dr Troy Dukowitz DC and Rehabilitation and Communication leader Dr Carol Ann Malizia DC (Photo 2), to name but a few. Invaluable knowledge was gained in the latest techniques, concepts and research.

Healing Wave Chiropractic won the 2011 Sparke Helmore / NBN Television Triathlon teams event for the 3rd year running. The Triathlon festival held on Sunday 20th March 2011 at the Newcastle foreshore attracted a field of approximately 1000 participants in the traditional short course team relay format. We competed with 23 teams and won places in 4 categories including 1st place in the mens 120+.

The teams prize was a "Cocktail Party" held on 23rd July. Our well deserved victory celebration was roaring success. this year. We would like thank everyone who raced or volunteered for Healing Wave in 2011. We look forward to competing again in 2012! So let’s get those healthy, well adjusted bodies moving!!!
